Welcome to December!

Hey guys!

Happy Wednesday and welcome to December!

If you are reading or listening to this on Wednesday it is Ash's birthday! So I just wanted to take a moment to shout out and send a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my business partner, my friend and most recently, my neighbor!

Ash has been there for me so much over the years, as he has for many others. We met just over 5 years ago, in 2015, when he was a manager and I was interviewing for a receptionist position at Fitness First and straight away we shared our love for musical theatre, discovering that we would have been in the same year at school and just chatting as if we had been friends for years!

Thankfully he gave me the job and 2 years later we created a class concept for the club called "SMASH" while we were on holiday together. That class, our business and our friendship have only grown since then - even more so in this challenge of a year!

So, Ash I just wanted to send you my love and my gratitude for being my constant rock these last few years. Happy Birthday!

As we enter December and the "official" festive season, I also wanted to send you guys a message too!

It can be quite an overwhelming and hectic time of year for many of us, pandemic aside and this year may bring us some additional pressure so we wanted to ask you to add a little extra mindfulness to each day. Reaching out to loved ones that may be struggling more than they show could be all the gifts they need this year. Take some time for yourself too, really focus on what is good for your mental health and what serves you well this year.

Christmas can be a super joyful time for a lot of us, but there are also a lot of messages out there in advertising, movies, songs and social media that paint a picture of what a "typical" Christmas "should" look like. We know this year more than ever, that in reality our "typical" can look very different and we can still make the most out of whatever our "now" looks like.

Enjoy the rest of your week - as we mentioned in our last email, I shall be keeping the dance party going for the next 3 weeks, so hopefully see you for a boogie soon!
