Create some happiness

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to our final email of 2020! As many of you know, we have recently welcomed a new instructor to help us teach our online classes. Get to know Sammy a little bit more tomorrow at 10am (Wednesday 30th) and read a little bit more about her below. We are very excited to see more of her in 2021!

If anybody fancies a dance this New Years Eve, Sam will be hosting a dance party from 8pm for an hour or two. Same rules as usual - turn up whenever you like and just start dancing! Use the class link as usual and let us know if you have any requests!

However you choose to celebrate we hope you have a wonderful new year and we look forward to continue our journey of building strength in body and mind in 2021. Thanks for being on this journey with us!

Sam & Ash

Hi all, welcome to that weird space between Christmas and New Years where we all question what day it is? Personally, I'm using this time to take a rest from my full time job in fashion and catching up on movies and some cold walks out! but I'm very much looking forward to taking my first full smash class tomorrow and if you will be joining or not, I want to tell you a bit about myself and how I now have the privilege of becoming a smash instructor.

I have always been sporty. I trained as a Dancer up until I was 18. But I change of career path, I ended up sitting at a computer all day and struggling with health issues, I felt I needed to move my body more. Starting my gym journey; I really enjoyed classes at the gym, making new friends and getting healthier. I loved discovering martial arts and Body Combat became my passion (mixed martial arts to music) which I am now an instructor in. Through my time at the gym, I got to see the birth of SMASH, joining in with their gym classes (playground and SMASH discovery was my favourite). What SMASH taught me was how important mindfulness is and how amazing you feel when you work both your physical AND mental health. Additionally you get to have fun with a community along the way and all the element that SMASH bring, which I think are so important in our busy lives. I truly believe keeping my body and mind healthy is the key to my happiness. So when Sam and Ash approached me to become part of the team I was overjoyed that I could spread that happiness that SMASH oozes! For tomorrow's class I want to do just that but with a little bit of getting to know me with an insight into my varied music taste, but still very SMASH!

So if you want to move your body and create some happiness, I look forward to seeing you at 10am on Wednesday.

Sammy
