Happy Friday everyone!
Ash here and I'm sending the email out a little earlier than normal for one special reason...
In past emails we have touched on the importance of telling those closest to you how important they are and the impact they have had on your life. It's not always easy for us to talk about our feelings which is why we often say a good way for most to do this is to write it it down for the other person to read. Whether this be a letter, a short text or an email, why not take a moment today to tell those you care about just how amazing they are! You will be surprised at how great this makes you feel and I promise that it will likely make the recipients day
As always we like to lead by example! Your message doesn't have to be long but I had a lot to say, so here goes...
Dear Sam
First of all, Happy Birthday!! 35 years young and you don't look a day over 34!!
I hope this doesn't make you cry on your birthday (a hard feat with those tear ducts of yours!!) but I wanted to take a moment to tell you something...
3 years ago you arrived at the club for an interview to be a receptionist, and I've thanked the universe hundreds of times since for that day! I remember us sitting down and the interview feeling more like a chat between friends who hadn't seen each other for a while, I knew you were perfect for the job and was grateful to have you in my team. It was obvious straight away that we had a lot in common - we were the same age, had a similar upbringing and we both love musicals!! I had massive respect for your outlook on life and admired the work you were putting in to laying the foundations to start your career in the fitness industry. Little did I know though that you would become one of my best friends and someone who would help transform my life...
You have picked me up on days when the weight on my shoulders was too much. You have made me laugh until my cheeks hurt. You helped nurture my passion for teaching classes and was brave enough to work with me on creating SMASH. You let me lean my head on your shoulders and talk rubbish for however long I need to. You know when to tell me to have more faith in myself. You talk sense. You know when to tell me how proud of me you are. You are not afraid to tell me that you love me lots.
You are an inspiration.
I hope you believe me when I tell you that you are one of the bravest, most sincere people I know and that I am incredibly lucky to have you in my life. They say you can't choose your family but you can choose your friends, well I'm pretty lucky that we chose each other and you let me become a part of your world! You became an important part of my family and I couldn't imagine it without you!
You have overcome hardship, adversity and dark places to become this person who inspires and motivates so many people - I really hope you know how amazing you are and I hope you are proud. Never stop being you - the wonderful, bright and truly admirable Samspirational
